He received his undergraduate degree from the Department of Electronic Engineering, Tsinghua University in 1998, and his PhD in Engineering from the Department of Electronic Engineering, Tsinghua University in 2003. His research areas are stereo vision, depth imaging, multimedia processing, target detection and tracking, intelligent interaction, and intelligent surveillance.
