China Machine Vision Industry Union (CMVU) is a national, non-profit social organization with independent legal personality approved and registered by the national civil affairs department in accordance with the law. A national enterprise union type organization voluntarily formed by manufacturers, system integrators, agents, and consulting institutions engaged in machine vision and image related technologies nationwide, as well as end users from various industries who use machine vision products. Currently, there are 320 members.

CMVU has become one of the top five global machine vision industry organizations, forming close cooperation with industry associations in North America, Europe, Japan, and other countries to jointly formulate industry standards and machine vision technology development strategies and rules. It is the only member of the G3 organization representing China.

The VisionChina Shenzhen, Shanghai, and Beijing exhibitions and seminars organized by the union have become the world's leading industry exhibitions.

The union has released association standards such as "Industrial Digital Camera Terminology", "Industrial Lens Terminology", "Industrial 3D Camera - General terminology", "CFL, CFL-II, CFL-III Industrial Large Format Lens Mount".

The union has released the "China Machine Vision Industry Market Report" and "Machine Vision Industry White Paper", held a machine vision innovation product selection activity, published the "Machine Vision" magazine and machine vision network platform, and trained machine vision talents.
